PowerSource International forms a new joint venture, PT PowerSource Indonesia with local Indonesian partners to market and distribute John Deere engines in Indonesia. The joint venture will hold engine stock of S$4 million for the Indonesian market.

The asphalt and concrete business is restructured and reorganized to gain a greater market share in Asia and Africa with the formation of a 50/50 join venture, IPS-Lintec. An additional S$1 million capital is invested in the joint venture bringing its paid up capital to S$2 million. IPS-Lintec acquires IPS-Eurotec and together with LInnhoff and Jiangsu Lintec under its wing, it produces 100% locally manufactured asphalt and concrete batch plants in Asia (click here to read full story). |

IPS forms a new joint venture, Perfex International to produce industrial cooling systems for Asia. The initial investment is expected to be S$1.2 million. Production has started and deals worth more than S$1 million are secured within the first 6 months of operation. |
